Born in 1960 in Aigle, married, he is the father of two. He acquired is dental degree in the Geneva school of Dental Medicine in 1984. He conducted his specialist studies in the field of periodontology from 1985 to 1989, he was a faculty in this institution under the direction of Professor G. Cimasoni. He has been practicing Implantology since 1992 with a special interest in esthetic cases and in periodontal plastic surgery. 

He has served  the Société Vaudoise des Médecins Dentistes (SVMD), in the Commission of prophylaxis, and in the legal committee (past vice-president) as an expert providing advice to the court of Vaud. He is also past member of the scientific committee of the SSIO, and member of the ITI user study club ECHANGES.
